While a sculpture in stone is obtained by 'Via del torre' (by way of taking away), most of bronze sculptures are obtained by 'Via del porre' (by way of adding). 

The main steps are:

1 Creation of a metal skeleton.

2 Building of volumes and masses.

3 Treating the 'skin'.

4 Creating the draperies.

5 Refining all details
